this past week has been a rollercoaster of emotions for myself and everyone who knew Bobby. Being 3000 miles away from the people i care about has been really difficult and everyone on tour has done their best to understand and lift my spirits. Since finding out the news in New Orleans the guys have been playing a song for me every night that has taken on a whole new meaning for myself since this tragedy. Sometimes i feel selfish for being out at clubs trying to slang merch, take shots, and meet girls but then i remind myself Bobby is watching over me and happy to see me doing what im doing. The song has tugged on all the emotions i have been going through: the bond that i shared not only with Bobby but the rest of our close circle of friends in Chico and how much we care about each other. It brings a smile to my face but also reminds me of what we have all lost. The song is called Die For You, here are the lyrics:
I’m never so sure of anything at all
But one thing I can count on
A friend is good when
your backs against the wall
And I’ve know them for so long
If I never saw the light of tomorrow
I would hold no regrets
I wouldn’t want any sadness or sorrow
This is as good as it gets
I live for you, you live for me
You know I’d die for you
And I know you do the same
After all that we’ve been through
In life’s messed up games
If I never breathed again
I wouldn’t change a thing
You know I die for you
And I know you feel the same
All thoughs times that I
knew that I was wrong
And the worlds pushing me down
And all the times that thought I cant go on
They picked me off of the cold ground
I can’t explain what they all mean to me
To them I’m in debt
Its not just friend it’s a family
And that you can not forget
I live for you, you live for me
I’m thankful and grateful
In this life that I’m able
To find a family other than my own
And to get through this life
and not to do it on my own
And if I never breath again I wouldn’t change a thing
You know I live for you
Here at sundaynevercomes we have a deep respect for the great city that brought most of us together. CHICO. Yesterday Chico’s most prominent athlete and favorite son finally began to step out of the shadow of that flip flopping piece of shit Brett Favre. Rodgers threw for a touchdown and also rushed for a 1 yard touchdown on Monday Night Football in the Packers opening game. It was a great sight to see Aaron spike the ball and attempt a Lambeau leap into the arms of embracing Packers fans. Congrats Aaron!
So check it, after being up at Burney Falls for like 4 amazing lake and drinking filled days, we cruised down to Chico to kick it with Jahann or Johan or how ever he spells it. What I’m about to talk about will be more for those of you in Florida as I would imagine most everyone right around here knows what I am talking about. I’m talking about The Expendables. I knew my buddy works for them and has told me how legit their shit is but when I was there on Saturday night and saw them for the first time… Well it turns out he wasn’t lying, they are legit. Check them out, it’s like a Reggae-Party-Punk sound that allowes them to have songs that rock a mosh pit and songs that are hella chill. It was rad to see what looked to be about 1000 people knowing every word to every song they sang. So if you are in Florida or somewhere else and don’t know them, you better ask somebody and check them out (they are going on tour starting next month).
After the show the streets of Chico were absolutely jam packed with students and non partying like crazy, hit a few house parties and a few bars and a few games of beer pong later it was a 5 am affair that included a drive through visit in a cab. All in all a good F’ing time….
budweiser? anheuser-busch? the american icon? wow, man…next thing you know we’re going to be slanging General Motors, c’moooon……you do realize that shit got sold right? for $52,000,000,000 (yes fifty two billion dollars) to inBev a belgium brewing company aka “boss hoggin”, “run the world” cause the US $ is wizzeaaakkk. heres a flick.
well, the hype is real…sorry im too drunk off budweiser to tell you the whole story so check it here
BRUSSELS/NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. brewer Anheuser-Busch Cos Inc accepted a sweetened $52 billion takeover bid from Belgium-based InBev NV to create the world’s largest beer maker and end a month-long standoff.
InBev, which makes Stella Artois and Beck’s, agreed to pay $70 per share for the maker of Budweiser, up from its original unsolicited bid of $65 per share, both companies said on Monday. The improved offer marked a 27 percent premium to Anheuser’s record-high stock price in October 2002.
The deal, which analysts expect to gain regulatory approval, would be the largest in the industry and the third-biggest ever foreign takeover of a U.S. company.

We wandered like drunken mongrols through the streets of sacramento. i someone how got lost last night when Robbie and i went on a mission to find cigarettes at 4 am in the morning. i hate whiskey.
on some good news i will be headed back to CHICO on Saturday, August 23rd to work a show for The Expendables!!! OH SHIT!
between the beer bongs, slices of pizza, long hazy nights, early mornings, 4 am cramm sessions, 6 am riley’s sessions, drunk sorority girls, cops on horses, getting lost at 5th and ivy, 1,000s of kids in the streets, lighting off mortars, burning couches, cases of red bull and getting a bachelor’s coupled with a minor…….. we (my friends and i) actually managed to get some cool shit done. like make some dope youtube videos that will live on in infamy. just in case you haven’t seen these incredible videos….here they are, in all their glory, chico state’s finest in action - don’t forget it, until the next episode.
The Tournament of Champions Beer Pong “Mockumentary”
i have been fortunate enough to watch the rise of Marty James. the once frontman of Chico’s Scapegoat Wax and now 1/3 of One Block Radius which he formed with Z-Man from the legendary Hieroglyphics camp and MDA a former member of Scapegoat Wax. Marty James is now one of the most sought after writer/producer/artist/hitmaker in the rap game today. Their group was just signed to the most influential record label in hip-hop history Def Jam Records who have brought acts like Run-DMC, The Beastie Boys, Jay-Z, Rihanna to the mainstream. Here is their new single “You Got Me” off their forthcoming album, look out for One Block Radius because they will be on radio stations for years to come.
